Trafic 2017

Trafic

At TRAFIC, more than a hundred companies are gathering to present safe and sustainable mobility solutions.

Madrid, 19 September 2017.- TRAFIC, the International Safe and Sustainable Mobility Exhibition, is holding its 15th edition from 24 to 27 October in Hall 14 of IFEMA, welcoming over 100 companies from 11 countries to show the most innovative side of the industry.

Implementing sustainable urban mobility initiatives is one of the main challenges faced by today’s cities. In the field of transport, the concept of sustainability involves taking steps to ensure optimal use of private vehicles to produce less environmental and acoustic impact and encourage the use of non-motorised transport.

Guided by that very goal, TRAFIC will now feature a new exhibition area focusing on Electric and Efficient Mobility, where companies get to present their finest solutions in this field and their impact on cities. This Area will be dedicated to electric bicycles, motorbikes and cars, where a host of brands will be exhibiting their very latest products.

As in the previous edition, there will be an Urban Track for exhibitors to test and demonstrate their products and services linked to safety and sustainability. Another exhibition area will be set up for companies taking part in the Exhibition to present their best ideas for safe and sustainable mobility on the city streets. This is just one of many initiatives the Exhibition has taken to enable exhibitors to show off their latest developments.

The Exhibition provides a comprehensive view of the world of efficient mobility and road safety, including Parking & Collection and Toll Systems, Infrastructure & Equipment, Public Lighting, Signposting & Vehicle Containment Systems, Inter-city Mobility & Road Safety, Urban Mobility and Smart Mobility, Sustainable Mobility, Emergency Systems and Surveillance Vehicles, Smart Transport Systems, Traffic Regulation, Associations & Organisations, and Specialised Media.

In addition to the business side of the Exhibition, TRAFIC is backed by the main public bodies linked to road safety and roadways, especially Madrid City Council, the Directorate General for Traffic, the Ministry of Public Works and the Ministry of Energy, Tourism and Digital Agenda, as well as the most important associations in the sector, which, as well as being present in the exhibition area, will be taking part in the professional conferences and workshops.

TRAFIC Forum

Along with its exhibitions, the Exhibition will be hosting the TRAFIC Forum, which has become a platform in which to exchange knowledge. The programme is packed with presentations, seminars and workshops for attendees to learn all about the sector. One of the most important activities will be a series of sessions linked to the event’s new approach, focusing on safe and sustainable mobility.

Within the Forum’s activities, FACONAUTO is organising the 1st Observatory of Official Distribution of Used Vehicles, which will be attended by some 200 professionals in the sector to learn about the role of used vehicles in renewing Spain’s vehicle fleet, which is crucial for sustainable mobility.

The programme also includes the 2nd National Convention of Local Police Forces on Road Safety. The convention was a resounding success in the past edition and will be discussing topics such as the strategic perspective of road safety in urban areas, experiences and best practice in road safety, criminology reports in the field of traffic offences, the Pamplona Road Safety Plan, and the Ecuador Police Road Safety Programme. The Forum will end with the award ceremony for the 6th FESVIAL Awards for Local Police.

TRAFIC, the International Safe and Sustainable Mobility Exhibition, will be holding its 15th edition from 24 to 27 October, from 10 am to 7 pm, ending at 2 pm on the last day. The Exhibition is organised by IFEMA and devoted exclusively to professionals.
